Bincount_cpu not implemented for float
WebNov 2, 2024 · My next idea was to use np.bincount () to count the number of trades at each price point. I'm running into issues with TypeError: Cannot cast array data from dtype ('float64') to dtype ('int64') according to the rule 'safe'. When I change the price to an integer it works nicely, but the rounding error makes the code essentially useless. Webnp.bincount(np.arange(5, dtype=float)) Output:- TypeError: Cannot cast array data from dtype ('float64') to dtype ('int64') according to the rule 'safe' So we see that we get a Type error if we use bincount () method on non-integer arrays This method is used to count the frequency of each element in a NumPy array of non-negative integers.
