WebJun 6, 2014 · It should not fit. AM3 socket has 1 less pin then AM3+. That is why you can put an AM3 cpu in an AM3+ socket but not the other way around. Some of the mobo manufacturers took their AM3 boards, changed one hole and made it AM3+ compatible with a BIOS update. WebIf the BIOS update says it supports AM3+, you can use an AM3+ processor. In the list on ASUS's website it lists an FX-8150, which is going to have the same pins as the 8350. The only thing I'd be slightly concerned about is that it says 'beta support only' so I wouldn't guarantee that all processors will work.
