If the chain jumped a tooth you would get a crank/cam correlation code, it likely wouldn't be drivable because the ignition timing would be so far off. A vacuum line or clogged fuel filter won't cause a "sudden massive" loss of power. Run a compression test and see where everything is. If compression is within 5 - 10 % of each cylinder, you're good to go.
