WebRiver Basin Management Planning (RBMP) takes an integrated approach to the protection, improvement and sustainable management of the water environment. In April 2024, the Government published the RBMP for Ireland 2024-2024. The RBMP outlines the new approach that Ireland will take to protect our waters over the period to 2024. WebDelivering Irelands long-term sustainable development and environmental protection goals will require a concerted effort by government departments to address these key actions. The report calls for full implementation of existing environmental legislation and a review of governance/coordination on environmental protection across public bodies.
