It's right on the border between the Safe Shallows and a Red Grass biome. WebJellyshroom caves is my favourite place to get it. I go to the eastern most entrance right above the abandoned base. They are really difficult to spot but I park a scanner room in the grassy plateau right above the entrance and pop in 4 range scan upgrades. It picks up the full depth of the cave at that point and will cover several magnetite nodes.
